con.ject.ch.

Living abroad, I found myself needing to translate things to — and, critically, from — German. Modern translators still haven’t caught onto this duality, so I made con.ject. As it’s effectively two translators duct taped together, I knew it needed a bit of visual flair: lovely typography, eccentric color, and animations to make the mundane interesting. Funny story: when I demoed this in front of Maxomedia, I failed to take into account that I would do so on a Windows computer; and had duly forgotten to make the ‘translate’ shortcut Windows-compatible. Needless to say, the demo didn’t go very well.
