Then AI happened. I started writing a lot more. So I bought myself a fancy keyboard. And realized that landscape is kinda limiting, especially when so much of my work is now reading and reviewing code. So the fifth screen returned to the fold, now by way of a USB DisplayLink dongle. I moved into the nook off our then-living room, as the 747 setup was unsightly on my freestanding desk; and put an old shelf behind everything, to give laptops, the Mac mini, the external hard drives, the USB docks, the Biral hardware, all a home. I found an Audient iD14 in our band room, and realized its wheel was what I was looking for in Thunderous.
